So yesterday was our DTE -versary. We were DTE 3/19/08, meaning that was when our dossier (big pack of paperwork that took 4 months to collect and complete) was sent to Ethiopia.
So now, we are almost ready to bring our boy home! We leave from Columbus to Washington/Dulles airport aroun 2:30 on Wed and then leave Dulles airport around 9:30 on Ethiopian Air - direct flight to Ethiopia - 17 hours! WHEW :) we arrive in ET Thursday at 7:30 PM ET time. We will have Friday through Sunday to tour the country and go shopping.
On Monday March 30th, we meet our son for the first time :) We do not take him back to the hotel on Monday though. We just hang out with the cutie for the afternoon. On Tuesday March 31st, we will take him back to the hotel - he will be ours forever! Yippee! We have our embassy appt on April 1st to get Micah his visa. Thursday, we hope to see the orphanage he was brought to before coming to our agency's orphanage. Then we leave on Friday to come home.
We are traveling with a great group of families - Whipples, Bowmans, Mozombites, and Howleys. Three have blogs listed in my blog list to the right - be sure to take a peek at their gorgeous babes.
Off I go to get more pre-travel errands done!

SO exciting! We will be praying for you all! Can't wait to hear about the trip. By the way, I love the sling pics -- we have the same sling (in teal) and it was my favorite baby item last year. Too bad Eli's too big for it now. :-( Enjoy yours! I can't wait to meet little Micah one day soon!
